MOST Osteopathic Manual Therapy involves assessing the entire individual based on the complaints presented. Treatment is centred on the realization that the body functions as whole and that pain or dysfunction in one area may be related to dysfunction in other areas of the body. As such, the body is evaluated in its entirety and treatment is administered not only to the symptomatic area but also to any part of the body that may be contributing to the symptoms. MOST's Movement First Philosophy is also incorporated into treatments. Movement patterning, strength imbalances and/or motor control issues are identified and corrected through appropriate exercise intervention. MOST Osteopathic Manual Therapy is covered under the Osteopathic section of extended health care plans.


Chiropractic

MOST Chiropractic applies a multidisciplinary, evidence-informed and patient-centred approach to care. A combination of chiropractic care, movement and functional assessment, injury rehabilitation and patient education are used to facilitate patients' returning to optimal function as quickly and effectively as possible. Chiropractic is covered under most extended healthcare plans.


Massage Therapy

MOST Therapeutic Massage provides the highest level of client centred massage therapy. Here at MOST our RMTs are educated in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities for differing conditions ranging from back pain, whiplash, sporting injuries, athletic recovery and relaxation. All RMTs meet Alberta's 2200hr training standard and are covered under extended healthcare plans.

Although they are sen more working with athletes, here at MOST they have ability to treat a wide range of patients, from kids to seniors and athletes to the general population. Athletic Therapists use various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping to treat a variety of injuries. The goal of the Athletic Therapist's here at MOST is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back.

From a young age, Mark has been passionate about sport and believes in an active approach to rehabilitation and recovery for both youth and adult populations. Leif was born and raised in Edmonton where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta. He then obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic in Portland Oregon, while simultaneously studying a Master of Sports Medicine from the University of Western States. The Sports Medicine program exposed him to treating all kinds of athletes with both fast paced sideline work, as well as providing clinically relevant experience. Prior to living in Portland, he worked as a personal trainer and coach running group fitness classes in Edmonton. His approach to treating includes a thorough exam to find the source of pain or dysfunction, followed by corrective strategies to solve the problem and to build a long term solution.

Hassan Hatoum is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist who received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with distinction from the University of Calgary. Hassan then completed a Master of Physical Therapy from McMaster University. During his time in Toronto, Hassan had the unique opportunity to work with elite athletes, including Team Canada volleyball players and national-level martial artists. He learned advanced techniques such as blood flow restriction training and functional movement screening. Hassan is also an accomplished endurance athlete, having competed in the Banff Marathon and the Calgary Half Ironman Triathlon. Summer was born and raised in Calgary, AB. Where she grew up playing a variety of sports such as soccer, and volleyball and primarily was a competitive dancer. Most recently Summer was a representative for the Kinesiology Games team which is an athletic/academic conference where she brought home first place along with her fellow teammates from MRU.

Summer is a recent graduate from Mount Royal University receiving her bachelor’s in Health and Physical Education, with a major in Athletic Therapy. During her bachelor’s she was able to work with a variety of varsity athletes primarily with the St. Mary’s University Men’s Basketball team and the University of Calgary Dino’s Football Team. Working closely with the team in the preseason, in-season and off-season.

Working closely with her Sports Medicine teacher growing up, she learned that she wanted to pursue a career in athletic therapy. She continues to go back and volunteer with the program to help promote what athletic therapy consists of and provides guidance to those seeking questions about the field.
